Strandberg Consulting and Five Winds International benchmarked the Mining Association of Canada’s sustainability program, Towards Sustainable Mining, against 7 other industry associations and based on input from 7 member firms.
This study examines how sustainability is advanced through industry associations and where government can support associations in the promotion of sustainability and CSR among their members. Study findings document the current activities of seven Canadian associations and point to strengths and opportunities for improvement. The report also proposes sustainability roadmaps for industry associations and government interested in helping Canadian companies on their sustainability journeys.

Part of becoming a leader in CSR is understanding the longer-term trends in social and environmental issues and how they may impact stakeholder demands, potential partnerships, and consumer attitudes in the years to come. Vancity Credit Union commissioned Strandberg Consulting to conduct this study on the future of CSR as part of an overall scan to understand CSR trends.
