Coro’s Blog: On Purpose

Corporate social purpose: the podcast!

Published on January 19, 2022

I pivoted to thinking about social purpose for the corporate world five years ago and have been championing it ever since because I truly believe it is essential for organizations, humanity, and our planet, to survive, and thrive, in the long term.

But even though I understand the differences—and they are significant—between corporate social purpose, corporate social responsibility, and environmental social governance, it’s still a relatively new way for organizations to think and it can seem daunting to get to its essence.

The Toronto Star’s regular podcast, “Responsible Investing for a sustainable economy”, recently featured me as its guest to provide a clear primer on what a social purpose business is all about.

The whole podcast series is excellent, and for a bite-sized (15 minute) “deep dive” into this episode on corporate social purpose, click the link here: https://bit.ly/3tEcMcP
